It's about time we had a rideout. Sunday 8th August 2021
Good news is Welsh restrictions are to be lifted on the 7th August.
Starting at McDonalds in Trent Vale. Springfield Retail Park, Newcastle Rd, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 6PD. Meet up at 9:00 for a 9:30 start. There is a Tesco fuel station across the road. Please make sure you have enough fuel for 130 miles. Rest break at The Ponderosa Cafe. (This is a 20 minute rest break not a breakfast stop. We will leave without you).Fuel stop is here Prysor service station. Yes it's expensive, but everywhere is in Wales after all the lockdowns.176 miles in total.

Well; mondays weather wasn't great, so going out today (tuesday).

Not sure I can do all the miles (87miles to start), but sure I could meet up somewhere.

Been out today for a Sunday recce.
The good news is the Welsh lockdown restrictions are to be lifted on the 7th August.
First post has been amended
I have amended the lunch stop to Capel Curig, as Betws Y Coed was the usual sunday chaos.
Here is the menu, but they do loads of other food, you just have to ask. MENU. I had the brunch which was 'chips, 2 sausage, 2 fried eggs and baked beans'. It took some getting through, but I managed it.
Fuel stop has been added. now I know it's expensive at 133.9 a litre, but so is everywhere in Wales after all the covid lockdowns. |

Fingers crossed the lifting of restrictions and the increase in hospital admisions doesn't cause another lockdown.

That's expensive? I had to pay £1.75 at Cadwell yesterday (gone up fom £1.60 a month ago) - though that was for 97 octane. Not sure if I can make this run - all sorts of other things going on just now. |
