I had a little wager with myself who would be the first to comment - I lost - thought it would be Neil.
More than OK Trev - it was tempting to go faster.

More than OK Trev - it was tempting to go faster. Yup it is, but if you just sit at around the 70 mark it flows rather nicely I have found, and plod tends to leave you alone too

hi guys and gals, Obviously home safe and sound. An interesting day, what with being pulled over for a chat by the local plod. He was very interested in reinforcing his opinion that he thought were going to do something illegal. I'd seen him for a while, once he'd pulled out to 'persue' us. But thought sod it, we weren't going that fast ... (I was following a GS after all ) A run 1st I think !!!! Anyway, thats two days Ive done a full days riding now, have to say, though I feel a fair bit more tired than I used to, its proving easier than I thought it might be to return to normal. Once Im back to full strength, I should be back to full speed too ;-) Thanks to Roger and Naomi for the run, we turned off for petrol just in time, as Tris ran out just as we hit the forecourt!!! See you all in Scotland !! Chris

Great to see everyone, were gutted to not be taking part but pleased to at least be a small part of it. With our base being at Rugby, we decided to use the marvellously good weather and blow out the trip to the lunch stop in favour of soaking up a few rays and catch up at the final run-in later. This meant that we didn't get to say Cheerio to many of the starters, so, sorry for that. It was lovely to see so many there and on such a beautiful day. We've got a bit of video and some stills which we will upload when we've sussed out the procedures. We're raw recruits at this stuff and with the Rugby laptop being sickly with a nasty virus, it's had to wait until I've landed back home in good old North Bucks and now back at my steam-driven XP to try and work out the intricacies of it all. The ion AirPro is a completely new Kettle of Fish to me but I'm learning, which just goes to prove....... Thanks to everyone for their good wishes, both on the day and on the site (Fi and M40Man). I hope to be out on my 600 Divi (Otis) tomorrow but I think Ade's hope of being ride-fit for the JR14 could be more than a bit pie-in-the-sky but if we all close our eyes tightly and wish..... There's always Gordy's Grand Tour later on. Today's quote:
Fiasco: Here's to some great runs this year.
Hear Hear!!! Right, am off to try and gen up on this Photobucket and sportcam malarky then..... C & A x
