Hi Kev, I'm just down the road from you in Telford. Not aware of any regular meets, but always up for a run on a nice day. A lot of the site runs start within easy reach of here as well Gary

Take no notice of Neil - you'll get used to him !
There's quite a few members around the Midlands - Stoke, Newcastle, Nunueaton, Walsall to name a few. There's an East Midlands run in October and a South Wales one soon as well -look under Runs and Meets Also keep an eye on General for short notice meets
If I can get my act together there MAY even be a N. Wales run in September !

Very true Seabass Shropshire/Staffordshire beautiful area with some great roads and countryside. Look forward to meeting you all on the Shropshire run, looks like I'm not the only new member to go along. Gary has chosen some roads I don't use myself so will be a good run for me. If neilmud is on the run I hope he's not to hard on us wastelanders!

The nicest town in uk its called Lichfield

Nice or not - isn't Lichfield a City?
It's got a cathedral (which is bent in the middle).
To the best of my knowledge it is one of only about 8-10 Civil Parishes in England that has City status.

Lichfield is officially a city but because of its small size its called a town by the locals. The last time that looked the cathedral was straight, there is a cathedral somewhere that has a twisted spire cant remember which one it is!

No - not the spire. The whole building has a bend in it.
If you stand at one end of Lichfield Cathedral and look along the length of it, it has a bend halfway along. The first bit was built in the year dot, and when they decided to extend it they found that the underlying geology required them to keep the end of the extension a couple of feet to the side of where they wanted it to go, so they placed the whole extension at a slight angle to facilitate this.
Best way to see it is stand inside the entrance and look along the line of the roof from below.

You say you'd like to see that Neil - I just can't think why. But hey! if it pleases you to see me do that, hell - let's try it,I can't resist a challenge. I'll be at Lichfield Cathedral on saturday at 2.17pm. You'll have no difficulty recognising me, as I will be wearing a red rose. And afterwards you can get the drinks in the Bald Buck or the Shoulder of Mutton.
I'd get the drinks - but being a hundred and thirty two feet tall makes it hard to get to the bar.
