Not exactly today but finished on Sunday ... Found a fuel leak coming from the stop cock. Removed tank and disconnected fuel tap. Thought I would have a look at the air filter and the previous owner had handily written the date on the air filter. Hmmm 2001, probably about due for a replacement then. Bought a fuel tap repair kit and air filter from Wemoto and thought, heigh ho, I might as well get a fuel filter while I am at it. Oh, and that front parking light needs replacing. Repaired fuel tap and replaced filters and bulb. Put it all back together and fuel pipe is also leaking. Found a tiny pin prick at the end of the pipe so chopped off 1cm of pipe and put it all back together again. E Voila! Put her away for winter? No way Jose.

Replaced the frayed choke cable with a used one from the Thundercat/YZF 600 as this was far cheaper than one specifically for the 900.
The Thundercat cable is identical to the 900's except for the cable slack adjusters. Note the Thundercat cable doesn't seem to be compatible with the earlier 1994 to 1996 D900 with the round choke cable knob.

Buzzin. Had a rayte annoying buzzing from the screen especially around the 3-4k rev's mark. Its been like it for ages but I've finally got fed up. Cured it by taking the screen off adding some generous blobs of the finest silicone (from work) and fastened back up, left to set and whallllah problem solved. I love a good bodge

Replaced headlamp bulb as it blew on the way home from work. I have no man cave so it was not raining and with the help of a trusty torch it only took 20 of your earth minutes and a scraped knuckle. As a complete mechanical numpty I am always relived to find that the simple jobs are just that on a divvy

I changed the front pads on my D6, to the cheap Kyoto brand, and replaced the clutch lever, which the mounting bolt on the old one had worn oval, making it less precise than a not very precise thing!

Checked me fuel level indicator out today, the gauge part packed up miles ago so I've relied, like many, on the level indication until it coughed and spluttered into the petrol station without the light coming on, I knew the tank was low due to the millage I had done. The bulb is fine on the dash I have power to the green connection........ Kerrrching

After 3 months in the garage, and not on the charger, she started on the third push of the button . Oil and filter changed, air filter changed, rear drive oil changed, spark plugs checked fine, all linkages lubricated. Auto comm reconnected with the blue tooth moduel now wired in. Saturday=Rugby. Number 2 son has his first game of senior rugby for Newark and then the England game at the club. Sunday = New pads on the back, fit blue spots and new pads on the front, lube cables (thanks Trev). MOT Next weekend, and then back to using the bike for getting to work and back, plus runs when I can.

The back brake is prone to corrosion. A regular full strip and clean under the piston seals saves a lot of hassle and the seals can be re-used.
I had planned to make a new rear brake mount and fit a RHS front blue spot caliper but never got around to doing it.

Bike passed its MOT with no advisories this time. Oil and filter change done. Thanks to the forum, now using the Hiflo filter as it's better constructed than the Yammie one and cheaper .

I supposed i better start adding to this thread.. first post. I actually bought a 900 divvy yesterday Need to get some better pictures when its lighter.. But here it is, its a proper workhorse (a.k.a not clean) Bit tatty and needs some loving, plenty of rust to clean up so i'm going to go over it and service it all plus a few of the natural mods.. (blue spots etc..) I paid £600 for it with a brand new mot on
