I have a Bluespot modified to fit a 600/Diversion (100mm bolt spacing) that I had fitted to my single disc. FANTASTIC stopping power. Can't believe how these calipers can haul up my nearly 300kg of loaded bike like a twin disc sports set-up!
Biggest issue I had was the forks bottommed out. No biggy, but I was going to fit ruber stops in the forks to ad preload and act as cushioning stops, with weightier oil, would transfor the forks. Instead I fitted a pair of Marzocchi SM forks with a different caliper to suit the forks so suspension is a magic carpet now.
Anyway, the caliper, bolts straight on, even comes with a pair of Titanium R1 bolts, and a set of 1mm washers to offset the disc slightly. I NEVER had any issues with this setup. Only thing needed is to file down the casting marks on the wheel spokes, nothing beyond smoothing the forks down to where they would be withouth the markings.
Any questions IM me! 50 quid posted...

Oh, and since I'm a nice guy, I'll add the Braided hose also, since I needed a slightly longer one for the Marzocchis!

Nice idea. To those with a twin disc 600 - Blue Spots are too wide. Thicker oil wont help with forks bottoming as there is no compression damping. Progressive springs will sort it though .

May sound like a stupid question, but are all blue spot calipers the same? So would this mod work with any old blue spot caliper?

Some have an external pipe joining the two halves, others use an internal drillway. And the hose connections are not all the same. And some more recent ones went away from blue (e.g. they are plain silver on the FZ6), but otherwise I think they are dimensionally similar in terms of mounting.

The later fz6 had various colours of caliper, silver, gold, blue, my fz6 is blue, the later calipers are the best ones to have!

Can anyone tell me which brake caliper fits? The one from an YZF600R doesn't fit.
