Surely boots with Cuban heels would solve the problem. I am 5'10" with 30" inside leg and I have no bother. Mind the Altberg boots have quite a thick sole. see paragraph 1 above.

Lowering by up to an inch will not really affect you for bottoming out. Also you don't really need to drop the front unless you go lower on the dogbones. It might turn in a little slower but wasn't ever a problem for me. When I rebuild the current D9 I'll probably lower by an inch again as it has a slightly longer shock on.
