Hi

I'm Derek Forbes

I live in Croydon, South London and ride a Divvi 600 S.

It's running really well at the moment, (walked the MOT last week - no problems) but will need lots of tips to keep it that way!!

My name is Steve, somewhat obviously.
I live in Poole.
Recently bought a '96 Diversion in that flame red colour. Bit of a sheep in wolf's clothing, but its a nice bike, very pleased with the general layout and the 63mpg fuel economy, not so pleased with its habit of dribbling oil out of the airbox drain when parked up. >:(
Tried the mod of replacing the airbox breather with something non-kinkable yesterday - apparently that should give freer passage and help stop the thing from clogging up - we shall see! I also blanked off the ridiculous little breather that goes from the inlet cam cover to the airbox. Fingers crossed.
The other problem, which I dont know how to fix and which is taking some getting used to - the throttle response off tickover. I am accustomed to the progressive and very easily dosed throttle on an old FJ1200, and expected the Divi to be similar, but its like a kangaroo, very jerky in low speed traffic. I am coping with it by slipping the clutch and controlling speed with the back brake, but I don't like the feeling that I'm thrashing the clutch. Bike was too cheap to start spending serious money on!

Hi

I'm Jon. Living in SW Worcestershire.

Just returned to Divvy riding with a 1999 600S with 12000 miles on it. Previously had a 1995 one on which I did about 70000 miles over many years. The new divvy is for winter use, whilst my other bikes (BMW R850GS and R1100RT) hide in the shed.
