so Sunday morning gone, i decided to give the bike a bit of a clean and after doing the chain thought that I'd pop the front sprocket cover off and give it a bit of a clean in there too, well there was certainly lots of carp in there, but to my astonishment the front sprocket nut was loose, now having convinced my other half to come out on the bike today (sunday) i didn't want to let her down so a bodge was needed the threads on the nut were worn and it would not go tight the correct way round, however the wrong way round the gap between nut and sprocket it too big, I'd also managed to break the other tab of the lock washer too So i came up with this -- took a while to make it fit but it did the job the space was further packed with the original washer and another bodged washer. finally ending like this It did the job an I've done about 140 miles like it, i ordered a new washer and nut from Fowler's yesterday (Monday) and they arrived today (Tuesday) so top marks to Fowler's for efficiency.. now it repaired properly and look like France here i come ;D Flymo

Don't forget to change the air in your tyres, You'll need continental putting in

I've just finished changing the tyres to opposite rotation to allow for the opposite camber whilst driving on the left
Tonight I'm moving the throttle, clutch, gearshift and brake lever/pedal to opposite sides.
It's a pig trying to get your right glove on your left hand though ;D

Have a good one. My bro has done Derby to Ivrea (near Turin) on an MZ250 and a Divvie 600. Guess which was the nicest to use. ;D
